ROPETEX S18 er en semi-rotationsfri stålwire, der består af to lag af kordeler og en (stål) kordelkerne. Da de ydre kordeler er slået i modsat retning af de indre kordeler, betegnes denne wire som rotationssvag.
Stålwire ROPETEX S18 bør ikke bruges sammen med en svirvel og som ikke-styret enkelt del i stor løftehøjde under henvisning til rotationsegenskaberne (se manual).
ROPETEX S18 bruges mest i diameter fra 3 til 8 mm i løfteapplikationer som lastbilkraner, traverskraner, svingkraner, elektriske wiretaljer og alle andre steder, hvor en rotationssvag stålwire godt nok.
